The Big Interview

After a great 2006 season where he firmly
established himself as a leading contender for
honours at each and every national circuit, John
Burrows came into 2007 intent on adding to his
impressive haul of results, and to climb higher
up the order at the international events.
Sadly, a
spill at one of the early short circuit events saw
him dislocate his shoulder and the injury marred
his performances all year. However, he never
gave up trying and he was rewarded for his
efforts with some solid, consistent results, so
Irish Racer caught up with the Dungannon rider
to discuss his hopes for the new season ahead.
Unfortunately, another early
season injury at Croft left John with a
badly injured finger, but John’s not an
easy man to keep down, and he made
the grid for the opening road race of
the season at Cookstown.
“Aye, I could have done without the
crash that’s for sure! It was just one of
those things and although it looked a
real mess at the time, I got it looked
at and it’s not causing me too much
bother. It’s grand for everyday use
and I can grip the throttle no bother
so it shouldn’t be a problem like the
injury was last year. It’s a wee bit
difficult getting my hand into a glove
but I’ll just dust myself down and get
on with it – there’s certainly no
danger of me missing races like I did
last year.”......
